Airtel introduced new data plan which seems too good to be real. With 200 Naira you get 2GB worth of data valid for 14 days. And with 500 Naira you get 4 GB worth of data valid for 28 days. By far, it’s the most cheapest data plan you could think of depending on the situation. But, GLO new set of data plan also took people by awe. Airtel new data plan may in turn, make people have a rethink on the new GLO data plan. Being that Airtel, if not the best, then, the very best mobile network provider with high speedy internet data, which does the trick of ones crave for pacy browsing.
Airtel just made the day for many Nigerian youths, this new data plan is a kind of, ROFL type of surprise for many, because, it really broke the boundaries of normal conventional data tariff, we have had in the past. Its legitimacy is real, because have tested it myself. The con, only works on 2G mode. But, in retrospect, Since, MTN has acquired Visafone, there, could be another WTF surprise from MTN, lets just keep watching as they keep surprising us with new data tariffs.
Airtel 2GB/4GB Data Pack @200/500 Naira
The good thing it’s cheap. At least it will let more people in Nigeria get access to the internet, just like the newly introduced FreeBasics by Facebook in collaboration with Airtel. The bad thing, it only works on a 2G/GPRS/Edge network. Therefore, you can’t use it on purely 3G/4G network mode but, I will keep this post updated just in case, another method of bypassing this restriction emerges. If you have decent Airtel network coverage in your area, this shouldn’t be much of a problem on accessing web pages. Downloading might be a daunting task with this plan, since it only supports 2G.
