From the listing above, a corp member assigned with the State code, ZM/16A/9629 means the corp member is posted to Zamfara State to do his/her National Youth Service program.

Also, same for a corp member bearing State code, NG/19A/5628 means the corp member is posted to Niger State for his/her National Youth Service program.

Next, is the mobilization year of the NYSC. That is, the year the NYSC corp member was mobilized for the whole registration process and orientation to camp.

This is pretty much easy to get. A corp member bearing the code, KN/19B/1682 simply means the corp member is posted to Kano State going by the KN, while the year of posting is in 2019.

So also a corp member bearing the State code YB/18C/1443 simply means the corp member is posted to Yobe State for the National Youth Service program and it was in 2018.

Up next assigned to the NYSC Code is the Batch of the NYSC corp member. From the codes given earlier. This is very easy to guess.

For example, a corp member bearing the NYSC State code, RV/15A/1926 simply means the corp member is posted to River State, the mobilization year was 2015 and fall under the Batch A grouping.

This grouping is usually done according to time lines.

Lastly is the serial number, which represents the number of the NYSC corp member posted to a particular State.

Thus, a NYSC corp member, with the State Code, KD/18A/1582, simply means the corp member was posted to Kaduna State under the 2018 Batch A and the serial number of the corp member is 1582.

Finally, that’s all about it, on NYSC State code and how to easily identify a corp member from his/her State code and get full details.
