2016 Batch "A" Stream 2 NYSC Prospective Corps Embark On Peaceful Protest

Should the NYSC Scheme be Scrapped, made Optional or Restructured? Slug: NYSC (Now Your Struggle Continues)

The 2016 Batch “A” Stream 2 prospective corps will on the 25, Wednesday May, 2016 embark on peaceful protest to demonstrate their dissatisfaction on the continuous postponement of the camp orientation programme. Usually after the camp orientation programme, the NYSC corp members are assigned their respective place of primary assignment(PPA) where they serve for a year. Some of the affected graduates have been waiting hopelessly for about 7 months for the camping. The time spent waiting for the NYSC scheme may have been channelled for other productive activities. The NYSC scheme management after conducting the Batch “A” stream 1 orientation exercise, were unable to designate a date for the Batch “A” Stream 2 prospective corps after impromptu cancellation of the previous date for the stream 2 exercise due to logistics reasons.

Below is a written document for the protest from the prospective corp members 2016 Batch A stream 2, Lagos.
